Venting like a girl, yo.

Heyyyy

I'm blogging.
Because I'm frustrated.

I'm frustrated with people.
Because we are hard and judgmental.

I'm frustrated with my friends.
Because they can't fulfill me and I'll never be able to relate to my besties like they can with their brother or their other friends.

I'm frustrated with my family.
Because they ask tons of questions and I compare them to my friend's family way too much.

I'm frustrated with myself.
Because I'm a mean person and I don't change myself.

What's a girl to do?

"What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!" ~Romans 7:24-25

.....I'm always here for you and I love you. It's so hard to not want to compare yourself. But nobody's perfect or has a perfect family. Some people just don't show it. And that verse is awesome cuz it's about how we are STINKING IDIOTS (at least me) and we can't do anything right be cause of our sin nature. But-- that means the only one we have is Jesus cuz we just fail alone. We're like hobbits....not strong or big or smart but we are chosen ANYWAY. :)

  2. heya,
I had a big taste of this when I was in Oregon actually...the families we were around there we amazing and loved God (at least most of them) and loved being around each other. but like Elissa said ^ even the people you know best have things going on in their families that we can not even know about, struggles that happen that don't seem big to others but are tearing them apart in reality. maybe you just bring out the best in people when your around them so you don't see all the bad ;)

  3. Dorothy, I've been doing the same comparing thing only with my church. But we have to understand that comparing never accomplishes anything. If we believe in the Love of God, and that God truly is Love, we have to believe that Divine Love will follow through in the way that Paul says in Romans 8:28. I'm pretty sure you've heard that verse before. ;)
I always have liked one of Spurgeon's devotions in times like these. "Remember this, had any other condition been better for you than the one in which you are, divine love would have put you there. You are placed by God in the most suitable circumstances, and if you had the choosing of your lot, you would soon cry, 'Lord, choose my inheritance for me, for by my self-will I am pierced through with many sorrows.'" He is faithful and He is worth it. In fact, He is the only standard worthy anything. I'll be praying for you and if you need anything I live like 3 blocks away. Don't forget that. :)
